Dr. Wong's Overview of Commercial pH Technologies
The first commercial pH probe and meter, developed by Dr. Arnold Beckman in 1935, has been modified over the years and is still the industrial workhorse. Subsequent technology, notably optical and ion selective field effect transistors (ISFET) sensor, are used in some industrial applications but have limitations. These technologies are explained, along with the novel Sensorin™ technology, by Dr. Elicia Wong, Sensorin’s Chief Scientific Officer

White Paper: Technologies for pH Measurement
This white paper describes, defines and briefly summarizes the history of pH measurement, discusses pH measurement in bioprocessing and characterizes the technologies used to measure pH including ISFET (ion-selective field effect transistors), optical and a newly introduced technique: amperometric pH sensing.
